Job Evaluation
The process of weighing certain information to rank a position in relation to other positions within the department. Also known as factoring.

Longevity Pay
Some corporations offer a payment to employees with at least 10 years of service.

Using of key tasks and goals by the management as a yardstick to measure performance

It refers to the situation in which staff are required to take on a wider range of tasks.

Outsourcing
External contractors are paid to undertake work which should be done by internal staff previously.

Performance Indicators
They measure the improvements in throughputs, outputs and outcomes.

Professional Development
It refers to organized learning activities for enhancement of career skills, such as educational courses and classroom training.

Progressive Discipline
A process for dealing with job-related behavior that does not meet expected performance standards

Recognition
To reinforce behaviours of employees in verbal, written or monetary form. These behaviours are usually outstanding performance of staff.

Quick ways of eliminating unqualified candidates via phone or email

Succession Planning
This is a process that ensures a corporation to recruit staff to fill each key role within the company.

Team Building
It is to increase staff performance by strengthening relationship among employers and employees within the workplace.

Total Quality Management (TQM)
The continuous monitoring in enhancing the quality of products and services to meet customer's requirements

Zero-base Budgeting
It refers to devising a new budget without using previous year's expenses.
