Aim and Objectives
This three-session seminar and workshop aims at introducing the principles and strategies for building impressive employment portfolios. Participants will also learn how to write and prepare effective job application letters and resumes through case studies, practical examples, interactive activities, and hands-on exercises. By the end of the seminar and workshop, each participant will have put together his or her employment portfolio in an organized, professional and ready-for-use manner. He or she will also receive a certificate of completion issued by CityU Professional Development Centre.

Who Should Attend
Job seekers of any industries, who will need to present their job application letters and portfolios in mainly English.

Instructor's Profile

Dr. Ming Cheung is an experienced trainer, educator and manager in the communication industry. A Teaching Excellence Award winner of City University of Hong Kong (2004-05), Dr. Cheung believes in getting things right – first time, every time. Backed by years of marketing and management experience in the public and private sectors, she has developed and delivered numerous courses on professional communication, English language, visual media, and information technologies at undergraduate and postgraduate levels for various universities (CityU, CUHK, HKIED, OUHK).
