Staff Retention

The survey investigated the difficulties in retaining staff. 30% of the surveyed companies claimed that it was difficult to retain staff over the past 12 months.


Company Size Expansion (Yearly)

Regarding the expected company expansion in terms of number of employees in 2010, 37% claimed they will keep unchanged, while 54% will hire more employees. Only 9% of the companies will cut the number of staff.

Comparison of Hiring Plan in the Coming 3 Months (Quarterly)

The percentage of companies intending to hire staff keeps increasing in this year (39% in Q1, 43% in Q2 and 47% in Q3). On the other hand, percentage of companies intending to freeze head count in Q3 has dropped sharply. In the previous two quarters, the percentage was about 44% but in Q3, it has dropped to 29%. This means most of companies will have a change in headcount in the coming three months.
