Compliance guide for employers placing blind ads under Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance


Dear Valued Customer,

In accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, all job ads that hide the identity of employers or employment agencies are not allowed to collect resumes of candidates as they contain personal data.

Due to the aforesaid regulation, you are advised to fulfill at least one of the following requirements when placing blind ads:

1. Include a telephone number in the job ad for further enquiries if needed so that candidates can contact your company for verification before applying for the job.
2. Provide an application form that shows your company identity on request by job applicants.
3. Display your company name on top of your company profile.

Please be noted all job ads that do not fulfill the above requirements will be deactivated immediately.
