Established by the Government in 1989, The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK) has five academic units, namely the School of Arts & Social Sciences, Lee Shau Kee School of Business & Administration, School of Education & Languages, School of Science & Technology, and the Li Ka Shing Institute of Professional & Continuing Education. Through them, we provide full-time and part-time programmes at undergraduate, post-graduate, and sub-degree levels.
Today we have over 9,500 full-time and 10,000 part-time students in the four Schools at the OUHK with about 220 programmes of studies. In addition, there are about 2,500 full-time/part-time students studying in our extension arm. The appointee will be responsible for rendering support to the procurement function for obtaining quotations from suppliers, preparing quotation summary and purchase orders. He/she will be responsible for handling all aspect of the procurement process, updating the relevant part of the supplier master list, preparing tender documents as well as updating fixed asset records.
Applicants should attain at least 5 subjects with Level 2 in HKDSE or equivalent, including English & Chinese languages and Mathematics. A diploma or higher certificate in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent is preferred. Working experience in procurement is an advantage. Good computer skills and communication skills (in English and Chinese) are required.
Terms of Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on a full-time fixed term contract. Fringe benefits will include annual leave, medical & dental benefits and life insurance coverage, where applicable.
