Maltem Asia is building a team of Analysts within the Client Services Team.
Assist in the day-to day activities to ensure the team can be run smoothly without disruption (relieving existing staff tasks to concentrate on “task force”
Participate to task force
v Within existing team /activities
Provide support to limited GED, SCM and CED activities in Asia (e.g. where Asia client is involved)
Co-ordinate and handle CSA collateral management for all counterparties based in Asia excluding Tokyo
o Marked to Market controls
o Margin Call Notification, Confirmation and Settlement in Bonds
o Margin Call Reconciliation and disputes
o Production of collateral reporting
o Follow up on unusual counterparties behavior and margin call discrepancies
o Follow up on contracts negotiations and set up contracts in system -GV collat
Answer audit confirmation for capital market transactions booked
Issue manual monthly statement for securities originated by Hong Kong in accordance to HK Compliance requirement
Co-ordinate with Front Office, MAM and other concerned departments to issue Mark-to-Market statements (either manual or automatic) to clients in the region.
Provide information (e.g. forthcoming settlement of Paris booking) proactively to clients in the Golden list as determined by Front Office.
v Within new/temporary task force
New Initial Margin / Variation Margin (IM/VM) regulations for Credit Support Annex (CSA) concerning collateral management associated to new European regulation to be activated 1Q17 under which CA-CIB is regulated
o Around 1,000 contracts to be captured (roughly 1-2 hours per contract) with operating mode (procedures/trainings/controls) to be implemented….

o Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities
o Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Hong Kong Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time; Financial Security requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
o Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.
University degree holder majoring in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related discipline
1 - 2 years’ experience in Back Office or Middle Office in a banking environment; hands-on processing experience fixed income and treasury products is preferred
Familiar with the operations of systems like Murex, Summit, Calypso, eMBT
Ability to respond and react constructively in demanding situations
Good judgment, alertness and common sense
Good understanding of financial markets fundamentals and financial products especially fixed income products
Proactive and client-oriented attitude
Good analytical, organizational and interpersonal skill
Good command of English
Versatile with PC tools and applications e.g. MS Office, VBA
