The HKUST Business School offers world-class MBA programs to executives worldwide.
We are now looking for a Program Assistant to assist the Associate Dean of Business and Management to run a company-sponsored MBA program in the Middle East.
The appointee's main duties are to provide administrative support to the Program Office in various areas including course delivery, course materials preparation, classroom arrangement, live-in orientation and wrap-up courses, liaison with the sponsored company, providing administrative and on-site support to faculty members in Hong Kong and in the Middle East, coordination of travel arrangement for faculty and students, managing matters related to prospective students and student affairs management including application, admissions, visa, course attendance, examinations, etc. The appointee may also be required to perform any other ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned when necessary.
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree preferably in Business Administration/Marketing/ Communication or related discipline with at least 1 year of work experience. Work experience in student activities and/or tertiary education institutions is preferred. A good command of written and spoken English (min. grade C or above in Syllabus B of HKCEE English Language; or level 4 or above in HKDSE English Language; or an overall band score 7 or above in IELTS) and Chinese together with a high proficiency in MS Office are required. Good knowledge in IT and software applications would be an advantage. The appointee should be independent with strong interpersonal skills, culturally-sensitive, customer-oriented, a good team player, meticulous, and able to perform multitasks and handle ad-hoc assignments under tight timelines. Working outside normal office hours, on weekends, and regular overseas travels are required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
