(a) To formulate and implement the Institute’s strategic development and projects;
(b) To provide academic leadership in the development, administration, quality assurance, validation and accreditation of culinary training programmes of the Institute;
(c) To drive the planning and development of new training programmes, trade tests, development projects and services;
(d) To plan and manage the provision and utilization of academic staff and resources;
(e) To lead the planning and implementation of marketing / promotional and exchange activities of the Institute both locally and internationally;
(f) To establish and maintain close contacts and foster collaborations with local and overseas industry partners, professional bodies, other institutes and sponsors; and
(g) To carry out other managerial / administrative roles and teaching duties as assigned and deployed by the Principal of the Institute.
(a) A recognized degree and/or professional qualifications in a relevant discipline;
(b) At least 8 years’ relevant experience at the appropriate management level in vocational education and/or hospitality / catering industry;
(c) Good understanding of Chinese cuisine trade test systems;
(d) Solid experience in culinary management and training at senior executive level;
(e) Proven records of professional development and networking with the hospitality / catering industry;
(f) Good understanding of the current and future development of vocational and professional education and training in Chinese cuisine;
(g) Exceptional leadership and managerial skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work independently;
(h) Knowledge in programme design, development, validation and accreditation of training programmes will be an advantage; and
(i) Ability to pass a trade test.
(1) The post is in the rank of “Senior Training Consultant”.
(2) The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned.
(3) In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process.
