jobsDB Q2 2012 Hiring Index


[Hong Kong - 21 August, 2012] The “jobsDB Q2 2012 Hiring Index” shows that 54% of employers plan to hire in the coming three months, a 14% decline compared with Q2 2011. The survey also covers employers’ opinion on the salary expectations of fresh university graduates and hiring intention of A-level and DSE graduates.

“jobsDB Hiring Index” provides timely information on the hiring intention and preference of employers in Hong Kong on a regular basis. Since April 2009, jobsDB has been conducting a hiring index survey every three months to keep track of the market changes. In the Q2 2012 survey that covers 124 corporations in Hong Kong, the following recruitment trends are captured:

  • Hiring plan for the next three months
  • Preference in hiring fresh graduates
  • Common job hunting mistakes made by fresh graduates
