A Personal or Executive Assistant undertakes secretarial and administrative tasks in order to provide direct support to one or more senior executives/ managers/ directors. Though Personal Assistants may have some responsibilities specific to their manager’s schedule and the industry they belong to, but by and large their main responsibilities include diary management; meeting arrangements; taking meeting minutes; handling any incoming emails, faxes, post, and often corresponding on behalf of the manager; cost-effective travel arrangements; preparing speeches, letters, presentations and also providing general assistance throughout presentations, if needed; and liaising with internal and external stakeholders/vendors/clients etc.
