Conducted by SEEK Asia, represented by the jobsDB and JobStreet brands, the Job Happiness Index is polled by more than 35,000 respondents in seven countries across Asia, namely Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, which is to gain detailed insights into the factors motivating employees in the pursuit of job happiness.

A report is compiled to provide useful key insights to employers in order to help them develop and enhance initiatives to attract, engage and retain talent they need.

In 2017, Singapore and Hong Kong were placed at the bottom of the chart for happiness countries in the region.

Overall, the regional average in 2017 scored higher compared to 2016 (4.77 in 2017 vs 4.64 in 2016). But almost all the countries, except the Philippines, the Happiness Index for the next 6 months after the surveyed date was dropped than that of 2017.
