User Interface (UI)/ User Experience (UX) designers carry out research to gather and evaluate user requirements to design graphic user interface elements such as menus, tabs, forms, and widgets etc. for delivering  best online user interface and experience. They work in collaboration with other teams involving product managers, engineers, designers, and developers etc. to decide the aesthetics and functioning of user interface. UI/UX designers need to be creative with passion for technology and user-centred designs. Career Summary/ Objective

  • Summary statement is a very important part of your CV as it shares the highlights from your career that speak volumes about you as a professional and will convince the recruiter to further read the CV. Though it is written at the beginning, but you must create it after you have finished writing the rest of your CV so that you can feature the most appropriate achievements and key skills.

Example:

A highly creative UX/UI designer with over 8 years of experience and passion for technology.  Possess strong portfolio of successful projects demonstrating user-centred design methodologies and flawless execution. Expertise in conducting user research and usability testing. Worked in collaboration with multiple teams from a variety of disciplines.



Emphasize on essential points in Work Experience

  • UX/UI designers are required by companies across sectors that may have significantly different set of requirements listed in the job description. Therefore, carefully evaluate and select the positions that match with your experience and customize your resume accordingly using the key words to get past the applicant tracking system.
  • Keep your CV short and crisp by highlighting your most relevant experience and the problems you have solved recently. Discreetly prioritize your resume describing any older relevant experience in just one or two bullet points.
  • Emphasize your ability to work across multiple collaboration tools and communicate complex design concepts with ease. Draw attention to your interaction design capabilities including interaction diagrams, wireframes, interactive prototypes, mock-ups etc. in addition to portfolio of successfully completed projects demonstrating proactive problem solving and critical decision-making skills, while meeting organization’s policies and standard.
