Judging Process and Criteria

Stage 1: Screening by JobsDB

The committee will conduct first round completeness check of all submissions.

Stage 2: Scoring by judging panel and the general public

A panel of judges comprising HR directors and industry leaders will review the submissions and provide a score.
Parallelly, 30% will be determined by the votes of the general public.

Dr. Aaron Chiang

Dr. Aaron Chiang is currently the Head of Human Resources and Administration of Hong Yip Service Company Limited, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited. Established in 1967, Hong Yip is a leading company in property and facilities management in Hong Kong.

Dr. Chiang has many years of experience in human resources and administration gained from various organizations in both the public and private sectors in Hong Kong. He holds a degree in Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Newcastle, Australia and LLM in Arbitration and Dispute Resolution from The University of Hong Kong. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators. He is the incumbent President of the Hong Kong People Management Association and the Advisory Committee Member of the Business Discipline of the Vocational Training Council.

Mr. Andy Luk

Andy is responsible for HR and Corporate Communications across Asia. Andy holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Hong Kong. With over 25 years’ experience in the Human Resources industry, Andy has worked with a number of well-known organizations, including the world biggest consumer products company, Procter & Gamble as well as a reputable public utility company China Light & Power in HK. Andy has extensive working experience in different business units, diverse workforce in Hong Kong, China and Asia. Andy is also very active in contributing to the HR professional community in the region. He is the Executive Council Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resources Management and was the Co-Chairman of the 2016 Annual Conference, Chairperson of the 2019/20 HR Excellence Award and the Chairperson of the HR Journal Editorial Taskforce. Andy is now studying the EMBA at the Kellogg-HKUST Business School and personally, he loves running and reading.

Angus has served in two of the government advisory broads, namely Panel of Review Boards on School Complaints and Retail Trade Training Board for years. He was a graduate from The University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Royal Holloway, University of London and The City University of Hong Kong in various academic fields including linguistics, law, accountancy and business.

He has led the HR set up and built people capability plan for organizations in Hong Kong and various locations across Asia. Working closely with the senior management team, he has led the development and execution on people strategies which yielded business results, operational efficiency, and market potentials.

Ms. Eliza Ng

Eliza has also served as a member of the Hong Kong Management Association’s (HKMA) People Development Management Committee since 2011; a Board of Examiner of HKMA Award for Excellence in Training and Development since 2012; Executive Committee of the Chamber’s Women Executives Club of The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) since 2014; Manpower Committee of HKGCC since 2017; Examination Moderator (honorary) for the Certification & Diploma Programmes in HR Management courses of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) since 2018.

In appreciation of her outstanding vision and leadership, she garnered the “The Most Popular Business Leaders of the month” from Asia CEO Community in September 2020 and“Best of the Best HR STAR of the Year” granted by one of the HK media in October 2020.

Ms. Lancy Chui

Having joined ManpowerGroup in 1997, Lancy is currently Senior Vice President of ManpowerGroup Greater China Limited (Stock code: 2180), where she has been strongly instrumental in building up operations framed around a regional initiative geared towards developing common business strategies and synergies for Greater China Region.

As a recognized expert in human resources, Lancy is regularly featured in newspapers and on television and radio as spokesperson for ManpowerGroup in regard to the ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook Survey and the dynamics of her relevant markets. She is awarded GBA Outstanding Women Entrepreneur Award 2021 and Asian Female Business Leader Award 2017.

Ms. Susanna Lam

Executive Director, Talent Acquisition Head, Human Resources of DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Ltd

Susanna is an experienced human resources professional.  She has spent most of her career in the banking industry, with exposure to various HR roles.  She is currently the Talent Acquisition head in DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Ltd, leading a team to recruit all levels of talents for the bank to support its business strategies.  In 2017 to 2019, Susanna was the Learning and Talent Development head in the bank.  In this role, she was responsible for driving initiatives in relation to learning and development, talent management and organization development, which are all key agenda in today’s banking industry.  

Before the aforesaid roles, Susanna had worked as an HR partner for more than 15 years, where she partnered with business heads of retail banking, wealth management, technology and operations, finance, legal and compliance, risk management, etc. to advise and execute people strategies aligning with the business needs.  

Before DBS, Susanna was with Hang Seng Bank taking up various roles including HR partner, Reward and HR operations. 

Susanna has got a Master Degree in Business Administration, and a Master Degree of Science in Information System. 

Mr. Willie Cheng

The future of work starts today, not tomorrow!

With over 20 years’ experience in human resources arena, Willie is appointed Vice President Human Resources at Hong Kong Telecommunications in September 2020. In this role, he is responsible for effectively diagnosing business issues and goals by ensuring HR strategy is aligned with the business strategy. He is setting the people agenda in collaboration and consultation with the business leadership team. He also acts as the Group Head of TA as a COE function to design and drive the adoption of talent sourcing practices to support a strong candidate experience.

Before moving to HKT, Willie was the Director, People Partner at South China Morning Post and Head of People at Asia Miles as a change agent and culture builder for nurturing employee engagement in the workplace. Prior to that, he accumulated his professional experience within the people spectrum, related to Swire Group including John Swire & Sons, Cathay Pacific Airways and Cathay Dragon. He embarked on his career as a Management Trainee with Cathay Pacific Catering Services in 1996.

Willie holds an MSc in Strategic Human Resources Management from Hong Kong Baptist University, as well as Business Administration degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is also recognized for his commitment in the HR field as a recipient of an Award for Excellence for HR Leaders by World HRD Congress.

Eligibility

All work, campaigns or initiatives must have been launched or active between the eligibility period of 1 November 2020 and 31 October 2021. Entries should reflect results achieved during this period.
All work, campaigns or initiatives must have been conceptualized and carried out in Hong Kong for the Hong Kong market or for a regional and/or global market that includes Hong Kong.
Entrants may submit the same works/ campaigns/ initiatives into multiples categories or different works/ campaigns/ initiatives into one category. There is no limit to the number of entries each entrant may submit. However, when submitting multiple entries, you are strongly recommended to tailor them based on the requirements of each category.
