Job Description

Duties: The appointee will assist Finance Manager in performing the accounting and finance functions in order to ensure smooth operation of such functions in daily activities as well as to provide efficient and effective professional services to academic colleges/administrative units. The main duties of the appointee include the following:


  • To perform daily accounting routines including verification of part-time teachers payment authorization and student refunds, preparing reimbursements, partnership payment, direct invoice, etc. in accordance with financial control and guidelines;
  • To follow up and clarify with designated college in the preparation of the quarterly forecasts and 3-year financial plan;
  • To prepare income and expenditure trend analyses for designated college;
  • To participate in the review of prior years and year end provisions for income and expenditure and follow up with designated college;
  • To provide support to the control cycle testing for the statutory audit;
  • To prepare audit schedules and follow up enquiries raised by the auditor;
  • To undertake ad hoc tasks as assigned by supervisors and Team leader.


Requirements:  Candidates should possess a Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines and have at least 3 years relevant experience in accounting. They should have good computer skills including Microsoft Office advanced spreadsheets and word processing, strong analytical skills, effective communication skills in English and Chinese, and be independent and a good team player. Knowledge of financial systems (e.g. Oracle Financials or SAP) will be a definite advantage.


Terms of appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review. A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract.
