About the Team

Deposit & Remittance Section is responsible for handling cash & deposit functions including cheques transactions, foreign exchange of foreign cash transactions, controlling and maintaining cashflow of the branch.

 

Role requirements

  • To support superior monitoring and approving daily transactions and achieving team targets
  • To handle time deposit (TD), settlement for cheques, internal transfer and auto-issue (AI) cheques
  • To issue and settle provisional voucher related to time deposit
  • To handle signature specimen update for account operation and control
  • To perform any other duties assigned by superiors including but not limited to provide cross support to the section

 

Essential Functions

  • The individual handles cheques transactions (deposit & withdrawal)
  • He/she performs foreign exchange of foreign cash transactions
  • The individual handle the order of cash transportation issues for local & foreign cash currencies
  • He/she is responsible for handling inquiries from customers over counter
  • The individual handles internal transfer relating foreign exchange contracts
  • He/she is responsible for storage of cash & cheques
  • The individual performs closure of account )including customers, banks & sundries)

  • Continuously acquiring necessary knowledge through day to day work and training, the individual should learn to work independently or in a team
  • The individual respects for and commits to high standards of business conduct and integrity in conducting operations, reporting and etc.

 

Work experience, education and skills

  • Higher diploma/ Associate Degree in any discipline;
  • At least 3 years' relevant experience in bank with exposure in time deposit, auto-issue cheques, signature update, internal transfer transactions, preferably with cash handling experience;
  • Working experience in foreign corporate bank is an advantage;
  • Proficient in English and Chinese, Mandarin is an advantage;
  • Good command of PC skills including Microsoft Office, data analysis and report formulation;
  • Proactive and with innovative mind-set, good team player with prudence.
