Job Description

Multinational is going through a transition, in addition to the core goal of providing exceptional client service, the Global and Asia team are looking for the Multinational team to be a leading contributor to growth. We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to drive and execute the Asia Multinational retention and growth strategy. The role requires close collaboration with Asian Producing Offices, Industry, Specialty, Product Line leaders, and In-Country teams. The primary role will be to provide guidance, technical advice and training to colleagues who work on indigenous multinational accounts as well as ensure consistency on our Multinational value proposition, advice and global service for all of our Asian multinational clients and prospects. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to showcase our value proposition in a compelling way, International insurance technical background, and experience at responding to tenders and contribute towards strategic planning. They will be required to give presentations, advice and trainings to colleagues and clients/ prospects, expand their network, use and demonstration of Marsh Global Connect and run the sales funnel.

The candidate will be dedicated to Multinational outgoing clients in Asia to strengthen and develop International insurance knowledge across Asia, expanding one of our unique differentiator in the region.

We will count on you to

  • Initially drive the outwards Multinational sales process from a regional perspective but quickly foster a “Retention and Growth Mindset” within country teams (across all segments that touch Multinational).
  • Identify and pursue new and expanded Multinational business, bringing in the most appropriate colleagues to deliver the strongest possible value proposition.
  • Working closely with International Regulatory and Tax team to strengthen technical knowledge on Multinational insurance, to train colleagues in Asia and provide highly professional advice to Clients.
  • Have a strong Multinational/Industry led approach, ensuring that Marsh can meet the Technical, Client Management and Placement needs of our prospects.
  • Be aware of the cross-border and segment opportunities for multinational clients. Form strong working relationships with the Corporate and Specialty leaders in addition to the routine Risk Management connections.
  • Develop and implement a regional and global  plan through comprehensive data analysis and working with other GAP teams on common clients and prospects aligned with the global growth and retention mindset

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional and consistent service and identification of potential new sales opportunities. To be involved on all Multinational Strategic planning sessions.
  • Support Multinational CEs in building their pipelines to identify appropriate prospects, and provide guidance on the prospecting process, including support in designing global insurance programmes
  • Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct Marsh Global Connect demos
  • Prepare professional, complete, concise and accurate reports, proposals, and other documentation as required for executive-level presentations
  • Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers
  • Coordinate with other GAP and sales reps to ensure company quotas and standards are being met, performing market research and regular competitor monitoring

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • 10 years plus experience. A preference for a track record in delivering broad and innovative solutions for Multinational clients.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Personal integrity and accountability
  • Ability to travel at least 25% (once current situation improves)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven success credentials
  • Minimum VP position (or equivalent) in the current job
  • Preference for a professional qualification.
  • Preference for insurance, financial, tax and/or legal background.
  • Language skills would be desirable.
  • Must have strong listening and communication skills.
