Job Description

Responsibilities

 

  • Review and enhance the process on the preparation of monthly operating statements, in order to speed up the completion time enabling management to have timely reaction to our business needs;
  • Review the internal control procedures in order to safeguard company assets and ensure proper authorization for business activities;
  • Coordinate with the Information Technology Department for development and enhancement of computer system and procedures to improve operational efficiency in the accounting area;
  • Coordinate with business divisions for reviewing and developing the operation procedures for recording business transactions;
  • Prepare monthly operating statement, quarterly forecast, annual budget and any other reporting as requested by our joint venture partners and trade partners;
  • Prepare and develop financial analysis for management and business review;
  • Prepare annual profits tax returns;
  • Prepare annual accounts and liaise with auditors for the annual audit;
  • Ensure inventory records are correct, carry out cycle count/bi-annual stocktaking and the reconciled physical quantities with book records;
  • Review the competence of staff and provide appropriate coaching, training and guidance to improve their overall performance;
  • Undertake any ad-hoc assignments as assigned by Senior Finance Manager.

 

Requirements

  • University graduate with professional accounting qualification in HKICPA/ACCA or equivalent;
  • At least 8-10 years’ relevant experience within which 5 years should be at management level in FMCG or multinational retail industry;
  • Proficiency in MS office application (e.g. Excel, Powerpoint, Words) and computerized accounting system (e.g. SAP);
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English, proficient in Mandarin is preferable;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with people at all levels including senior management;
  • Proactive, meticulous and able to work independently, efficiently and under pressure in a demanding and fast pace environment;
  • Candidates with more experience can be considered as Accounting Manager
