Job Description

We are now inviting applications for the following post in the Finance and Facilities Management Unit:

Assistant Accounting Officer (Ref: 20003NX)

Major Duties and Responsibilities 

 The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:

  • Processing payroll accurately in a timely and confidential manner;
  • Preparing payroll related reconciliations and reports;
  • Participating in payroll closing and handle payroll related accounting;
  • Handling retirement scheme administration and taxation matters;
  • Maintaining proper record keeping / filings;
  • Following up on payroll enquiries; and
  • Undertaking other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Director of Finance and Facilities Management or his delegate.


Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • At least 5 subjects with Level 2 in HKDSE or equivalent, including English & Chinese languages and Mathematics;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, e.g. EXCEL, ACCESS, etc.;
  • At least 3 years’ payroll and accounting related experience is preferred;
  • Experience in Oracle Finance System and Oracle Human Resources Management System (HRMS) will be an added advantage;
  • Well versed with Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and related legislations;
  • Good communication skills (in both Chinese and English(preferably including Putonghua);
  • Responsible, well-organized, attentive to details and independent; and
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Candidates may be invited to attend a trade test.

Compensation Package

Competitive compensation package including basic salary, end-of-contract gratuity and discretionary incentive will be offered to the right candidate.
