Our client, a Hong Kong's cultural authority is seeking to hire an Assistant Manager to support the Communication and Public Affairs Department.




  • Assist in developing public engagement strategy and executing community outreach initiatives to enhance the public understanding of the work of the Authority and foster support from local community;
  • Plan and organise stakeholder engagement initiatives and community outreach events/campaigns of the District including delegation visits;
  • Cultivate relations and liaise with government and business organisations, influencers, arts and cultural programme partners, and community groups;
  • Prepare communications materials including press releases, speeches, and presentation materials, etc;
  • Assist in message development, internal and external stakeholders’ liaison in crisis communications and issues handling; and
  • Handle and coordinate responses to public enquiries when required; and
  • Execute ad-hoc communications projects when required.




  • Possess a recognized university degree or above in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related discipline;
  • Have at least 5 years of relevant and solid experience in public relations, events management, media relations, corporate communications, corporate social responsibility and community engagement
  • Have proven experience in engaging government bodies, NGOs, political and community groups; arts and culture groups engagement experience is a definite asset;
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, good team player, multi-tasking, attention to details, strong analytical mind and alert to issues; able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure, creative and dynamic;
  • Able to plan, execute and manage projects independently to achieve the communications goals;
  • High adaptability to an environment of volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity;
  • Have excellent written and spoken English and Chinese; be proficient in Putonghua; and
  • Able to work irregular hours, at weekends and public holidays if required.
