Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

  • Updating company policies and manuals with risk based approach where necessary to reflect the best practice;
  • Aggregating and analyzing risk events reported by business units and performing monthly reconciliation;
  • Assisting all principal risk controllers with identification of key risk indicators in their business units;
  • Performing root cause analysis on identified risk events to recommend improvements to prevent similar risk events from re-occurring in future;
  • Aggregating and analyzing risk events reported by business units and performing monthly reconciliation;
  • Monitoring the implementation of action plans to address medium and high key risk indicators reported and analyzing identified trends in the key risk indicators reported;
  • Undertaking any ad hoc projects as assigned;
  • Providing clerical / administrative supports to the Division.

Job Requirements:

  • University graduate with related discipline(s) in Risk Management, Actuarial or Finance;
  • Experience in drafting risk policies and risk assessments;
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in Hong Kong insurance sector;
  • Acumen and strong in analytical skills;
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities;
  • Able to cope under pressure and the ability to influence people;
  • Excellent communication, presentation skills and English literacy is a must;
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint and Chinese word processing.
