Job Description

Purpose / Mission

To support the overall business in preparing merchandise sales plans, sales/inventory analysis and sales target setting to maximizing business opportunities for a company.


 1. Merchandise Sales / OTB Plan

  • Prepare financial plans and forecast merchandise sales and buy plans by store based on historical data and strategies for future seasons to maximize profitability
  • Ensure integrity of OTB, pre-season and in-season plans and monitor actual purchases against agreed OTB
  • Work with various departments in implementing the approved sales plans in the in-house system
  • Work closely with Brand teams, Logistics and IT on system discrepancies and to coordinate potential systems and process enhancements
  • Review and approve retail pricing as proposed by Brand teams when necessary
  • Initiate analysis of historical data & current trends to identify risks and opportunities and recommend strategies
  • Assist in setting sales targets for promotions and special events

2. Business Performance Analysis

  • Optimize sales & inventory productivity through analysis and plans that drive high impact decision making
  • Manage mark down process during sale period
  • Maximize sales and maintain planned gross profit


  • ŸBachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred
  • ŸMinimum 6 years’ experience in retail planning capacity
  • ŸPossess knowledge in retail math & P&L with strong numerical sense
  • Proven strong analytical acumen to identify and resolve business performance issues specifically in forecasting and planning models, and strong technical and operational experience
