Job Description

Reporting to the Merchandising Manager, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating information for development of new styles from concept to production via interaction with internal and external cross functional partners.  This position is based in HK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interface with cross-functional team members to ensure approval deadlines are met.
  • Ensure time & action calendar and seasonal milestones are being met and elevate to supervisor as needed.
  • Procure, review and assess new cost quotes, analyze history, and elevate costing challenges to supervisor for costing options/negotiations.
  • Communicate daily with vendors regarding style development, production and delivery information.
  • Review outstanding issues on production status, take action accordingly and elevate to supervisor as needed.
  • Manage external partners’ relationships by communicating and partnering with them on seasonal allocation strategy, production, product or costing challenges, initiatives or issues, and factory loading/capacity planning.
  • Manage internal partners’ relationships by communicating and partnering with them on seasonal initial markup goals, volume, air budget and trigger strategy, seasonal allocation strategy and booking calendar, costing and time & action challenges as well as production or product issues.
  • Own seasonal costing activities including securing and communicating initial markup goals to team, reviewing and analyzing costs identifying opportunities for improvement and taking action based on initial markup results, elevating costing issues to supervisor and executing to direction, communicating initial markup results to cross functional partners, and confirming costing at style level.
  • Review escalated PSR/production status issues and determine action steps.
  • Support the direction of Production team in executing development requirements as requested.
  • Work with buyers/planners on garment cost, buys, production planning, liabilities and delivery.
  • Approve main label wording and country of origin information on product labeling.
  • Lead touch base meetings with Color team, Tech team, QA team, Testing team, and so on.
  • Help to develop and improve tracking and record keeping systems.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or equivalent
  • 1-2 years' relevant experience with good command of English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Ability to act as liaison between departments and possess excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Must be detail-oriented, computer literate, and able to multi-task as well as have a high sense of urgency
