Associate Engineer (Ref. 19102105-IE)
The appointee will join the Building Services, Construction and Safety Stream and be required to:
(a) undertake hands-on learning and teaching activities at degree and sub-degree levels including student projects;
(b) assist in teaching and learning programme design and administration, as well as preparation of hands-on learning, student projects and teaching materials;
(c) assist in R&D and consultancy activities;
(d) maintain workshop equipment and machines in good condition; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director, Industrial Centre or his delegates.
(a) have a recognised degree in Building, Civil Engineering, Safety or a related discipline plus not less than three years of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably in safety related work;
(b) be a Registered Safety Officer (RSO);
(c) have good teaching experience in safety related subjects; and
(c) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage.
Remuneration and Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
