Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of professional and frontline staff including Specialist, Arborist, Gardeners, and Pest management Technicians to maintain the landscape
  • Monitor the trees and topiaries and assign arborists and landscape technicians to conduct pruning, crown thinning and reduction, trimming etc.
  • Design and schedule plants replacement at different landscape areas
  • Coordinate and contact different internal clients and entertain their requests on landscape modifications, tree pruning, pest control and seasonal events
  • Schedule daily maintenance work plans and arrange staff to work at different locations
  • Work with plant nurseries and landscape contractors regularly to ensure they supply the best quality of plant materials to Hong Kong Disneyland (HKDL)
  • Manage the performance of contractors who provide landscape maintenance services
  • Roster in overnight shift duty and Duty Manager
  • Prepare emergency recovery work during or after inclement weather
  • Compile frontline staff shift duty list and keep staff records

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Horticulture or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Must have a broad spectrum of horticultural technical knowledge on using the appropriate plants at different locations- Climbing and rigging, chainsaw application, able to demonstrate the use of proper tools and machinery for tree management work
  • Must possess excellent horticultural knowledge and understand the maintenance requirements of different species of ornamental plants and different tree species
  • Good at designing and planning different bedding plants for different seasons and special events management skill
  • Certified Arborist or equivalent
  • Fluent in both English and Cantonese
