Job Description

Our client is reputable Private Banking. To cope with the rapid business expansion, they are now inviting high caliber candidates to join the team.

 

Asst Relationship Manager - Private Banking

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Execution and Transactions processing

a)      Receive orders, instructions directly from Client

b)     For certain products types, quote prices to clients

c)      Ensure Pre-trade due diligence checks are on order (ex: funds/ credit line availability; for sell orders: stocks availability, obtain Management approvals when required)

d)     Place order and Track progress of order with AD

e)      Inform client upon execution of orders

f)       Capture executed deals in respective systems within cut-off times

g)     Ensure accuracy of capture to avoid incidents and dealing errors

h)     Ensure orders are properly executed and proceeded

i)       Train Junior Marketing Associate / Administration Assistant and/or Marketing Associate to ensure them have sufficient level of awareness of procedures and controls.

 

  1. Administrative Support

a)   Assist in processing credit approvals, investments and deposit transactions.

b)   Relay Corporate actions information to Clients and collect feedback

c)    Assist RMs in filing Call reports

d)   Prepare documentation for Client Portfolio reviews

e)   Maintain Clients CAF documentation files in preparation for CAC reviews

f)    Manage stationery stock for the respective RM team

g)   Ensure Clients phone calls are answered in a commercial manner

h)   Train and Mentor newly joined Assistants to the team when required and ensure sufficient level of awareness of new joiners of procedures and controls

 

  1. Compliance with Internal Control, Regulatory and Compliance procedures

a)        Ensure that operational processes are performed in compliance with the Bank’s policies and Regulatory requirements

b)        Ensure RM has up to date awareness of internal procedures and risk management guidelines

c)         Ensure oneself and RM’s compliance with Regulatory Licensing requirements (ex: CPT hours)

d)        Contribute to the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities, such as Control Plan

e)        Comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines

f)         Inform and report to Relationship Manager of any noticeable change in client’s account behavior

g)        Contribute to the reporting of all incidents according to the Incident Management System

h)        Ensure that internal controls are complied with within deadlines, including:

  • Suitability Controls
  • Account reviews
  • Client document irregularities
  • AML

 

  1. Client Marketing Support

a)   Have an understanding of client portfolio, background and investment needs

b)   Handle Clients / Prospects Event invitations to marketing events

c)    Prepare Invitation list with Clients / Prospects background for Management approval

d)   Organize Clients / Prospects meetings with RM

e)   When required, attend Client events and ensure Clients enjoy high standards of hospitality

f)    Prepare portfolio valuations documentation to be sent to customers

g)   Produce investment ideas and presentation materials endorsed by RM to Clients

h)   Upon Client request, prepare and send RM-endorsed ad hoc transaction reports, statistics

i)    Assist RM to prepare quick reference transaction reports/statistics to major clients upon request.

 

  1. Change Management Support

a)   Provide feedback to Management, BM and Influence Support Functions to continuously ensure their processes are adequate to meet FO needs

b)   Ensure RM is informed on a need-to-know basis of any changes impacting their processes (Systems, Support functions procedures, Regulatory changes, Organization changes and projects…)

c)    Contribute to continuous improvements in Bank procedures and organization

d)   From time to time, contribute to the back up of other MA or Team

 

  1. Control Aspect

a)   Direct contribution to the company's operational permanent control framework.

b)   Contribute to the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities, such as Control Plan

c)    Comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines

d)   Contribute to the reporting of all incidents according to the Incident Management System

  • Act, behave appropriately and comply with the general ethical standards expected by the Bank and relevant Regulatory Authorities, particularly in, but not limited to, proactively protecting and safeguarding the interests of its clients, the integrity of the markets and the Group's reputation.
  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and Group's internal Compliance requirements including, but not limited to, Financial Security, Know Your Customer due diligence, International Financial Sanctions, Client Interest Protection, Market Integrity, Data Protection…
  • Complete all necessary Compliance training to maintain appropriate business and compliance level of knowledge and understanding in order to be fully competent to undertake the role.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree holder
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in customer service or investment operations/processing in private banking industry or other financial institutions
  • Communicative, flexible, efficient, hardworking and able to work under pressure
  • Customer service oriented with pleasant personality, good initiative and innovative
  • Proficiency level in written and spoken English
  • Familiar with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
  • Require basic knowledge of private bank products and operational procedures
  • Familiar with financial market activities
