Job Description

Objective

The primary purpose of this role is to assist Deputy Manager in local and regional projects for process improvements and new business initiatives. He / She will work closely with business users to identify user requirement on potential improvement areas and coordinate with IT teams on solution development and corresponding testing activities. He / She will also assist in driving operations efficiency improvement activities aiming at providing quality policy administrative services to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult and collaborate with business users to understand business needs, goals and objectives, processes and requirements
  • Facilitate in defining business requirements, application workflow / system enhancement areas to address business users’ needs
  • Develop and review business requirement documents to ensure alignment between business users and IT on user requirements
  • Coordinate with regional and local IT team in understanding user requirements, impact analysis and developing solution to address business needs
  • Assist in carrying out business impact assessment, facilitate project manager and business users to define system testing scenarios, prepare test cases and expected outputs
  • Perform user acceptance testing including test cycle planning, test case creation and execution
  • Coordinate business verification testing to ensure overall efficiency, functionality and user friendliness of system enhancement / development
  • Prepare training materials and conduct training to end users
  • Assist in identifying areas of improving operations efficiencies, development of process flow, procedure manual and training to the team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in business analysis, project management or systems implementation in financial institutions, experience in General Insurance would be an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products and operations
  • Proven ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiating and problem solving skills
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Experience in AS/400 System would be an advantage
  • Able to work independently and proactively to deliver in accordance with schedule
