Job Description

Our client is a leading provider of business information, analysis and networking for the global legal markets.

As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for finding, nurturing and closing new business prospects and selling variety of products over the phone and face to face to new clients.

You will use your relationship management and negotiation skills to grow your client base by approaching new clients, planning and preparing presentations and communicating our product offering.



  • Generation of new business across all allocated products and territories
  • Lead generation using both internal and external research resources
  • Development and implementation of a sales plan for products and territories
  • Manage the creation of proposals and sales pitches for new products
  • Attend conferences and conduct face to face client meetings
  • Update the group CRM to ensure it accurately reflects sales activities
  • Ensure clients have signed contracts and orders are processed in line with the compliance criteria
  • Development of cross selling opportunities for fellow team members
  • Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and help train team members
  • Develop a strong understanding of the key markets



  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • 1-2 years minimum of selling B2B new business deals in a telephone-based role
  • Good track record of sales performance
  • Good rapport building skills with new business prospects and existing clients
  • Good negotiation skills and strong verbal and written skills
  • IT knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Aptitude for working to targets and deadlines
