Client Details

Our client is a leader in the TMT space. The group operations in over 150 countries with around 190,000 employees globally. Due to business expansion, they are now looking for a Chief Privacy Officer for the new business line.


As the Chief Privacy Officer, you will be:

  • Responsible for the construction of privacy protection strategies and systems for consumer cloud services, formulate and maintain standards/norms and baseline requirements related to privacy protection, and ensure the smooth development of business privacy protection;
  • Responsible for the privacy risk assessment of consumer cloud services in Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Africa, and provide professional guidance on legal compliance;
  • The external publicity and brand building of cloud service privacy protection, as well as the privacy awareness education of internal departments;
  • Follow up on changes and developments in global privacy laws, and timely assess the impact on global business of cloud services.
  • Build up the privacy team.


Successful applicant will be:

  • Bachelor degree or above
  • More than 5 years experience in privacy law. Experience in government affairs and public relations is preferred.
  • Candidate with less experience will be consider for Director or Senior Counsel position.
  • Deep understanding of global privacy-related laws and regulations can provide business teams and managers with advice and solutions on complex legal and regulatory issues
  • High proficiency in English (Chinese language skill is preferred but not a must)
  • Excellent written expression and language communication skills
  • Excellent communication, coordination and team management skills, able to coordinate the efforts of different interest-seeking teams to achieve common goals.
  • It has strong influence, appeal and rich contacts in the field of personal privacy protection law.
  • Have a good ability to resist pressure and vigorous energy, and be able to actively embrace various internal and external challenges.
