Job Description

Our client, a Tier 1, international corporate and investment banking client, is looking for an immediately available individual to join the team as a Client Development Support APAC, on a 12 months contract.

Based in Hong Kong & reporting to the Head of Client Development Global Markets APAC, the Client Development Support role contributes to the Global Markets (GM) client franchise and client centric culture through close co-operation with a number of key stakeholders across GM and FIC (globally and regionally).

This sell-side opportunity is for someone who is numerically proficient, data-driven, and client-centric, with exposure to working with global colleagues.

Your Responsibilities

Driving and developing the client franchise:

  • Support & prepare bi-weekly meetings to discuss and review internal clients; topics include new opportunities, issues, and solutions, and targets for various groups involved.
  • Responsible for preparing and monitoring data quality of all client reporting across all client sectors.
  • Prepare reports that include revenue analysis for various products, analyst calls/meetings/roadshows, and budget comparison.
  • Analyse benchmarking data to identify gaps and opportunities for sales teams and steering committees. Use this analysis to prepare supporting documents for senior management reviews of gap analysis.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to follow up on action items related to client updates, broker reviews and cross referrals.
  • Produce visual client data reports for the regional Head of Client Development and Head of Sales.
  • Work with various teams to automate client revenue dashboards from Excel to online reporting tools
  • Help with ensuring correct employee/Client data on CRM tool and assist/promote CRM usage.
  • Prepare weekly client development business updates for management to get a full picture of the APAC business and new client trends.
  • Contribute to the growth and profitability of the Global Markets business, CIB and Group through innovation (brings ideas, new approaches, new processes);
  • Contribute to franchise development by enhanced cooperation between trading, sales and coverage
  • Direct contribution to the operational and permanent control framework.

Essential Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Equity and Fixed Income products.
  • Hard working, motivated, logical and well organized.
  • Very strong knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Strong English communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Results oriented with a proven track record of meeting targets.
  • Excellent business relationship management and development skills.
