To assist in consultancy, training & education, publicity & information, research functions of the Council; and to undertake other duties as assigned by the Council.
Applicants for the post of Consultant should have a recognized degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, in engineering, science or other related disciplines, with the qualification of Registered Safety Officer and 3 years of relevant working experience. Possession of post-qualification working experience in establishing occupational safety and health (OSH) management system; risk assessment, safety inspection and accident investigation; research and data analysis; promotion and education of occupational safety and health; and other OSH consultancy related duties will be a definite advantage. Applicants should also have in-depth knowledge of Hong Kong OSH Regulations & Standards, Code of Practices, and OSH good practices.
Applicants who have a recognized degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, in engineering, science or other related disciplines but with less than 3 years relevant working experience will be considered for the post of Associate Consultant. Preference will be given to those who are already Registered Safety Officer.
The appointee should possess an analytical mind with good communication skills and genuine interest in community work. Good command of both spoken and written Chinese and English; with strong motivation and good interpersonal skill.The appointee would be required to work at irregular hours and undertake outdoor duties. Successful appointee will be employed on contract terms.
