Job Description

Applications are invited by the Hong Kong office of Maples Fund Services for the position of

Business Development Administrator

Job Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will report to the Senior Business Development Manager and will work closely with the firm's senior management teams;
  • This position will be based in the Hong Kong office and will be responsible for providing business development and client relationship management (CRM) administrative support including supporting market research/ business intelligence projects in line with the Group’s business goals.

Day to day responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • provide general business development administrative support (ie. processing invoices, data entry etc.);
  • coordinate overseas marketing trips and participation at conferences, seminars and events;
  • assist with preparing business development proposals, presentations and other materials as needed;
  • assist with the maintenance of the firm's CRM system including maintaining and updating all relevant target lists;
  • assist with the data mining and auditing of the firm's pipeline tracking system including exporting and collating data for respective business unit or office reporting monthly;
  • liaise with team members in other offices to ensure that there is consistency and coordination of all business development activities;
  • provide secretarial support to senior management and the marketing team;
  • arrange foreign currency, transportation and accommodation for business travel;
  • organise business lunches/dinners and client meetings and
  • carry out any other duties which may from time to time be required.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management or a related field is preferred, but candidates with experience of working in a similar role will also be considered;
  • Have an understanding of targeting and lead generation with the ability to recommend both strategic and tactical initiatives;
  • Have superior writing skills with strong attention to detail;
  • Have strong project and time management skills;
  • Be proficient in MicroSoft applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and
  • Have a strong knowledge of CRM databases, preferably InterAction.
  • The successful candidate will be a team player with a demonstrated knowledge of the financial services industry.
  • He/she will be highly organised with excellent communication skills.
