Job Description

A leading retail group is looking for a Corporate Communications Manager to develop and implement corporate communication strategy in building and reinforcing corporate awareness and reputation in line with business strategy. Directly report to the Corporate Communications Directors, this role will mainly take key accountabilities on public affairs engagement and sustainable development related programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Formulate and manage the delivery of proactive corporate communications, CSR and stakeholder engagement campaigns
  • Establish a best in class editorial office integrated across platforms and develop corporate narrative and messaging for effective staff and stakeholder engagement
  • Collaborate closely with multiple cross functional teams and NGOs to identify, plan and implement internal engagement campaigns and stakeholder engagement activities and CSR events
  • Build and own relationships with commentators, key journalists, NGOs, industry bodies and influencers to elevate the employer reputation of the organisation
  • Generate compelling news stories from staff events for a wide range of corporate and local media. Create engaging content for owned online/offline communication channels
  • Support on issues mapping exercise, crisis drills and issue monitoring and management, anticipating and planning responses to emerging industry and corporate governance topics that could affect the reputation of the business

Successful candidates should possess:

  • 8-12 years' Corporate Communications experience, ideally within a consumer-facing or retail business sector either in-house or agency; candidates with journalist experience is highly preferable
  • Proven track record of developing successful CSR events or staff engagement activities with positive media coverage
  • Proven experience in publishing print, online and mobile friendly internal newsletter, developing corporate messages for promoting the company via various social media platforms
  • Excellent multi-taking, presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence and inspire
  • Strong problem solving, organizational, event and project management skills
  • Solid media relationship and experience managing multi-stakeholders during crisis period
  • Ability to work in an ever changing, fast-pace and demanding environment
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese is required
