Job Description

The Data Engineer works very closely with the Programmatic Trading and Account Management teams to lead data and analytics initiatives and ensure success on client campaigns across the Dentsu Aegis Network of agencies including Carat, Vizeum, dentsu X, McGarryBowen and iProspect. The successful candidate will become a data and DMP expert, while ensuring campaign excellence. In addition, she/he will provide training support to agency partners and help develop category excellence. Our ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a data, analytics, programming, preferably working with advertising technologies and possess a strong understanding of the ever expanding digital media landscape. Fresh graduates with relevant technical skills are welcome to apply.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management of large volume of data through the Amnet Audience Center (AAC), AMNET’s Data Management Platform (DMP)
  • Support the Accounts Management and Trading Teams in retrieval of data through querying the database
  • Measuring and analysing online marketing campaigns to set benchmark KPI for effective planning of campaigns.
  • Develop methodology and optimization tools to support Trading team in execution and optimization of marketing campaigns.
  • Provide actionable insights to assist teams in problem solving/trouble shooting of campaigns.
  • Assist Account Managers and Trading team in developing content, graphs and charts for proposal and review decks.
  • Utilize multiple data sources to develop Audience Insights for Clients to discover composition of site visitors/converters and their online behaviour.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s or a MS degree in Statistics, Economics, or Applied Math
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in Data management, analytics or Online Media Planning / Buying in the Performance Display Advertising space
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel VBA, Tableau and SQL server and APIs, or other related analytics roles
  • Analytical and problem solving skills; ability to analyse raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations using statistical modelling techniques
  • Knowledge of visual techniques for data analysis, finding insights in data, innovating and problem resolution
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
