Job Description

About the responsibilities:

  • Monitor system and application performance through a mix of formal testing and anecdotal feedback from attorneys and staff
  • Work with global technology teams in Chicago to perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Manage and support productivity applications including Microsoft Office and related add-ins; Provide 3rd-tier support for users across the Firm
  • Package applications and upgrades for automated deployment using SCCM; Monitor systems to ensure a successful deployment
  • Develop documentation and communications targeted toward other IT teams and/ or end users
  • Routinely participate in off-hours calls with US resources
  • Provide on-call support on a rotating schedule
  • Travelling between the Firm's Asia offices may be required

About the requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer studies is preferred, but not essential
  • Advanced use and troubleshooting of Microsoft Office products and related add-ins, preferably in a legal environment
  • Advanced troubleshooting across a range of products including desktop software, hardware, and mobile devices
  • Familiarity with basic network troubleshooting and tools such as Wireshark
  • Familiarity with Application packaging such as InstallShield, Auto-It, and Powershell.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Fluent speaking in Mandarin is a plus
  • Experiences with the following technologies are strong advantages:
    • Microsoft Windows 10
    • Microsoft Office 2016
    • iManage Desksite/ Filesite
    • Microsoft SCCM
    • Windows Installer/ Installshield
    • Legal Document Creation Tools (e.g. Workshare Compare, Litera Change-Pro, Contract Companion)
    • Lenovo Desktop and Laptop Hardware
    • Apple iOS
