The company is now seeking a talented Development Engineer with expertise in electronics, where experience of miniaturised solutions would be an advantage. You will be focusing primarily on electronics such as instrumentation / MCU control, but also including prototype development, CAD and manufacturing assembly and testing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for engineering to get involved in innovative hands-on development.

 

Your typical day would include:

• Non-routine, adhoc mechanical, electronic, PCBA design, builds and teardowns Design and prototype PCBAs for customer-specific motor drivers, encoders and other product-related engineering
• Software development for application / instrumentation software in C++ & MCU frameworks
• Setup, experimentation and documentation for prototype trials and performance testing
• Electromechanical assembly and rework to develop manufacturing best-practice and processes
• Project planning and managing work against internal deliverables and objectives
• Support, troubleshooting and repair for equipment failures and errors

Requirements:

We are looking for a strong team player and versatile engineer with solid industrial experience. Qualifications wise, we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following;

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or related discipline (2:1 or 1st preferred)
• Relevant industrial experience in working within tightly controlled manufacturing settings such as medical, automotive or aerospace will be an advantage; eg. ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO/TS 16949
• Strong, demonstrable team player
• Proficiency in C++, embedded and/or application development (including software testing)
• Fluent in English is essential to work alongside our engineers in HK and overseas Exposure to the following technologies would help support your application: Atmel AVR 8-bit / 32-bit MCU Qt Application / UI Framework EAGLE PCB layout, or similar
• Exposure and familiarity with Arduino
• Practical hands-on experience with soldering; prototype, build and troubleshooting electronics hardware
• Hong Kong citizen/resident or other immigration status with no restrictions for work in HK preferred, but visa sponsorship may be considered on merit
