Job Description

Key Purpose of the Job:

 

The Employee Engagement & Communications Manager will report into the Director of Organizational Effectiveness & Change.

 

The role will focus on driving employee engagement activities, supporting key transformation initiatives and internal communication. The role will play a key part in building the organizational culture and behaviours in line with our VF guiding principles.

  • Develop and implement initiatives that enable VF associates to engage and align to the business purpose and strategy and help articulate and develop new behaviors and ways of working that are required to deliver the business priorities.
  • Support and develop change and communication strategies and content for VF Asia transformation initiatives and employee engagement activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with leaderships teams and internal stakeholders to enhance business relationships and initiative delivery
  • Work with global team to implement global transformation initiatives e.g. Employee Value Proposition, Purpose Launch
  • Develop and implement VF Asia’s employee recognition program that rewards excellence and drive desired behaviors
  • Develop and deliver day to day organizational communications which includes drafting, reviewing and executing all internal communications.
  • Support and help to champion employee resource groups in their respective strategies and vision. E.g. Asia Women’s Network, Purpose Council, Fun Committee
  • Responsibility for planning and managing VF Asia Employee Engagement budget
  • Develop and manage key internal communication channels and ensure continuous improvement and engagement across the entire VF Asia organization
  • Prepare or review HR related internal communication materials on behalf of HR team
  • Support key internal communication activities related to townhalls/company wide events and organizational announcements

 

Know-how and Competency Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Organizational Psychology or equivalent degree
  • Excellent communication skills both written and spoken in English (Cantonese and Mandarin a bonus)
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills to identify problems and develop solutions pro-actively
  • Strong project and event management skills related to communication activities
  • Passion for culture. You understand the importance of a company’s culture and its power to drive success.
  • Employee-centric approach; high emotional intelligence a priority
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people at and all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability in working in a multi-cultural and multi-stakeholders environment
  • Independent and able to exercise sound judgment, acumen and sensitivity to identify matters that require higher level management consultation and/or group collaboration
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
