Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Conduct R&D works on additive manufacturing and laser processing technology
  • Support implementation government funded projects on advanced materials processing technology
  • Conduct up-front study for identifying new project ideas
  • Prepare proposals, engineering reports and related documents
  • Assist in organisation and coordination of new technology promotional events
  • Travel to Mainland China on occasion for project implementation
  • Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master Degree in Industrial & System/Mechanical Engineering/Materials Science/Physics/Mechatronic or related engineering discipline
  • At least 2 years’ working experience
  • Solid experience in metal/ceramic/composite manufacturing process development and material testing a plus
  • Knowledge in CAD/CAM/CAE, DOE and data analytics preferred
  • Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, can work independently at minimum supervision, a good team player and able to work under pressure
  • Proficient in both written & spoken English and Chinese, with a good command of Putonghua being an advantage

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates. A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered. The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
