Job Description

Our client is a well-established company who is now hiring a Events Manager. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop timely, thought-provoking content programmes for advertisers’ events and conferences
  • Work as a team to create compelling, insightful content to help drive marketing and awareness campaigns
  • Support in client pitches with content suggestions
  • Recruit senior-level speakers from both government and private sector, build and nurture high-level contacts and relationships with corporate leaders, governments, influential industry bodies and  inter-governmental organizations
  • Support house events engaging advertisers and business partners
  • Source and manage relationships with marketing partners and marketing vendors
  • Develop and execute detailed marketing strategies with the team (including advertising, partnerships, database acquisition and management, community-building initiatives, social media strategy and invitation campaigns) to generate interest and awareness, and drive registrations
  • Draft event-related press releases and work with external PR agency or media organisations to generate earned media for advertisers, if required
  • Contribute new, commercially viable and timely ideas and themes for the Events portfolio with strategic input, and explore new initiatives & innovative event ideas for business development

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in journalism, marketing, communications or related disciplines
  • At least 8 years relevant experience, preferably in media /  event / PR or editorial roles for conference programme / content development
  • Ability to build and nurture relationships senior executives and government officials
  • Working experiences across different markets as a regional role is preferred
  • Proficiency in event-related tools and technologies, audience-engagement platforms and marketing tools
  • Dedicated team player, multi-tasking, excellent project management, attention to details
