Job Description

Ensure proper internal control is observed in Hong Kong & Macau Office. Document financial policies and procedures. Perform financial planning & analysis functions including Budget and performance analyses. Develop management analysis/reports for management and to facilitate Business Analyst. Perform finance and accounting function for Macau. Participate in ad hoc projects as required.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensure smooth operation of the Hong Kong Controllingteam by providing qualitative and timely support to the organization.
  2. Develop and implement appropriate internal control policies and procedures for Hong Kong and Macau.
  3. Act as liaison to enhance communication of controlling matters between Hong Kong teams and headquarters in New York.
  4. Prepare annual budget and mid-year budget review for Hong Kong and Macau.
  5. Responsible for regular performance forecasting and variance analysis for Hong Kong and Macau.
  6. Work with Business Analyst to prepare timely management analyses for Hong Kong and Macau.
  7. Responsible for finance and accounting functions for Macau.
  8. Act as Reviewer for some HK accounting and finance functions including donation receipts reconciliation and procurement/payment requests. Ensure compliance with Orbis policies and procedures and any regulatory bodies.
  9. Support awareness training of internal control to Finance team and other teams in Hong Kong office.
  10. Handle ad-hoc and overseas controlling assignments/projects as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

 

  1. Degree holder preferably with professional accounting qualifications
  2. At least 6 years of auditing/financial controlling working experience with over 3 years supervisory experience
  3. Over 3 years post qualification experience

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

 

  1. Ability to work independently, self-driven and strong sense of responsibility
  2. A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  3. Strong in financial controlling and internal control policies and procedures
  4. Knowledge and experience in Public Governance a definite plus
  5. Ability to deliver on time in full under tight schedules
  6. Good in both verbal and written English and Chinese, fluency in Mandarin is a plus
  7. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Accounting Software. Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
