A medium-sized international European logistics company with regional headquarters in Hong Kong serving the growing markets in Asia, including China, Hong Kong and other Asian countries, is looking for a talented and professionally qualified candidate to head the local and China finance team in the regional headquarters in Hong Kong.
The Role & Structure
Reporting functionally to the APAC CEO, and operationally to the Regional CFO, the candidate will manage the financial function of Hong Kong and China and will play both strategic and operational roles, to provide a clear financial picture of the region, produce qualifying reports to the regional financial office, propose and implement financial changes to ensure continuous and optimal growth of the Company in Hong Kong and China.
Critical Success Factors
Graduate in Accounting or Finance in Europe
Audit Firm Experience
Fluent spoken and written English, with either Chinese or a European language
Manage the financial teams in Hong Kong and China
Supervise and monitor financial reporting, planning, budgeting, forecast, cash flow management and cost-saving controls
Perform Gross Profit reconciliation, contribute and validate job profit analysis, jobs invoicing, costing accuracy, customer invoices billing, and KPI benchmarking
Demonstrate strong understanding and up-to-date knowledge of market trend, best financial & accounting practices, taxation requirement and local regulations
Analyses business processes to ensure compliance with internal and external policies and procedures
Collaborate and maintain strong relationships with external parties
Act as a business partner to drive business initiatives and recommendations for enhancing financial performance and business opportunities aligned with business objectives
Bachelor's or above Degree in Finance, Accounting or related disciplines from a European University or Business School
Min 2-year audit experience
Fluent English, plus either Chinese or a European Language
Strong experience in analysis, forecasting and budgeting
Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, and shipping is advantageous
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Can meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership and team spirit
Sound knowledge in accounting and financial audits.
Proficiency in accounting software.
Excelling analytical and presentation skills.
Positive, pleasant, outgoing and diplomatic in working with the management
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Independent, positive, detail-minded and organized
Occasionally travel to China and other countries
