33k to 47k+ for Statistical Geneticist/Senior Statistical Geneticist

Requirements:

• PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Statistics, Physics/Biophysics with statistical modeling experience or Mathematics with an emphasis in probability. Non-PhD candidates with equivalent experience may also be considered
• Knowledge of R, Python/Perl or C
• Strong knowledge of Bayesian Statistics
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms will be an advantage
• Knowledge of Genetics is desired but not required
• Knowledge of NGS related lab methods is desired but not required

Responsibilities:

• Develop statistical methods for Lab QC and QA purposes
• Review and further develop existing internally developed statistics software to analyze NGS data
• Develop statistical methods and software for disease risk prediction and Quantitative Trait Locus analysis
• Look up literature for epidemiology data as input to the statistical models
