Job Description

Role Overview

Reporting to Managing Director, the General Manager Hong Kong(and possibly Taiwan) will develop and implement the Sales strategy & plans for the H&H brands (SWISSE, BIOSTIME, DODIE, HEALTHY TIMES, DODIE & GOOD GOUT) in the HK/TW market. S/he will develop an adapted local Brand/Marketing plan with the support and in line with the guidelines of the Regional Management / Global Marketing dept. S/he will activate and develop revenue streams leveraging a direct line to the Sales & Local Marketing Teams.  S/he will manage a Sales team made of key account managers along with a head of open-trade and Trade Marketing resources. As such s/he will be accountable for delivering through her/his team Net Sales targets & all sales KPIs (Distribution, shelving, visibility and trade terms where applicable). S/he will also have coordinating responsibility and a dotted reporting line for the multifunctional team supporting the business (demand/supply planning primarily). S/he will be in charge of the P&L. S/he will coordinate all functions locally with at least 12 dedicated team members (internal direct reports) along with external support from merchandisers and promoters. Under the regular course of business, s/he is expected to spend approximately 80% of her/his time on the Sales / Business Development.

Key Responsibilities:

Ownership & Responsibility of P&L

  • Develop the strategic plan to attain the set financial objectives.
  • Manage the entity financial performance (Sales & Marketing related).
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans by planning cost-effective sales & marketing operations.

Sales Leadership

  • Contribute to recruit, Inspire, direct and coach the key account management & sales admin team reports to deliver business KPIs.
  • Contribute to develop new and emerging revenue streams.
  • Ensure that brand visibility is executed in a premium manner.
  • Collaborate closely with the multifunctional team including Supply & Demand planning, Regulatory and central support functions based in Europe. Coach multi-functionally.
  • Be a driver of the group culture in our growing H&H organization.


Brand Activation

  • Develop and implement the brand activation plan to support/complement support the Global marketing directions.
  • Recruit, Inspire, direct and coach the local marketing team.
  • Support the building of premium brands by setting the right marketing strategies.
  • Develop category management initiatives.
  • Build and implement MARCOM and trade marketing plans relevant KPIs to track ROI.
  • Support global innovation initiatives and possibly local NPD.


Business development

  • Establish Sales plan to deliver brand overall Net Sales objectives & deliver brand growth strategy in the market.
  • Drive distribution & penetration of the H&H brand across HK targeted channels.
  • Drive breakthrough visibility for the H&H brands in line with the brand Premium, Proven & Aspirational equity.


Budget management

  • Coordinate the budget building process in collaboration with the Finance team.
  • Track & manage Sales & Marketing budget along with organizational costs to support delivery of EBIT targets.


Organizational leadership

  • Ensure Group policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times.
  • Support in coordinating French operations and all local functions of the Business Unit with the support of Regional/Group experts for each function.
  • Set and monitor Sales & Marketing Team KPIs.
  • Policies & Procedure: develop and ensure the execution of the Sales & Marketing policies.

Job Requirements:

  • University Degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline.
  • 8-10 years’ key account sales experience in multinational FMCG companies(Nutrition/Personal Care/Food & Beverage/Skincare/OTC).
  • A rounder commercial leader with experience in P&L management, Customers & consumer understanding.
  • Familiar with Key Account & Open Trade Channels.
  • Must have digital MARCOM / Business experience.
  • Preferred in IMF and or vitamins & supplement categories.
  • Preferred if experience in Taiwan which can be added to the HK geographical scope.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to evolve into a multicultural environment.
  • Thinking agility to assess problems and proactively propose solutions. 
  • Strong leadership, organizational & project management skills.
  • Strong analytical, communication & problem solving skills.
  • Able to gather and reconcile information from multiple parties to identify a solution.
  • Excellent command of written & spoken English, Cantonese & Mandarin.
