Group Rooms Manager - Corporate Office

We are currently seeking a Group Rooms Manager at the Corporate Office located in Hong Kong.

Assists the Group Director of Rooms with directing the operation and performance of company-managed and/or owned hotels to maximise Rooms Division profitability and ensure compliance to company standards (quality, service, product and fire life safety) is maintained at all times, across brands. Takes an active lead in training initiatives to enhance standards and build consistency of service levels. Works closely with fellow Corporate Directors, in particular IT, Training, Purchasing and Finance. Assists hotels during the pre-opening stage and hotels in need of interim Rooms support.

The Manager will have exposure to managing the property landscape in Hong Kong, Greater China and the Philippines. The candidate will be responsible including but not limited to:

  • Monitor and overview ReviewPro (GRI) and the Guest Experience Survey (GES) and response times ensuring timely sharing of information and agrees target setting as relates to Rooms areas of responsibility.
  • Monitors the use and effectiveness of front desk upselling programs and price implementation strategies to ensure revenues are maxmised 
  • Actively conducts and co-ordinates the Operational Audit across all Hotels, for the Rooms Division with direction/support of the Group Director of Rooms.
  • Be the guardian of the Rooms Manual, Brand Standards, Rooms Audit document, SOP’s and P&P’s and ensure that updates are delivered and implemented in the hotel.
  • Is familiar with and can effectively interpret, P&L statements to identify revenue and cost management opportunities across the Rooms Division.
  • Supports and ensures the smooth progress of pre-opening, through the Rooms Division management, of pre-opening schedule, critical paths, and onsite support and training.
  • Assist in developing each hotels Look Books and monitoring LAFFA initiatives
  • Actively looks at and is abreast of new trends that may beneficially impact the operation and recommends these when appropriate.
  • “Walk the talk” at all times and ensures brand integrity and clarity are always maintained.
  • Models the Corporate culture, vision, mission and core values at all times – Marco Polo Way and Be Niccolo.

 Your Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Management, Hotel Management or related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in hospitality management experience, previous Director of Rooms, Front Office Manager at property level is an advantage
  • Strong Operational skills across Rooms Division
  • Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
