Job Description

This position can be based in Beijing, Shanghai,Shenzhen,Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan.

 

Purpose of the role

  • Build up Automotive service delivery team, an achievable delivery target, customer satisfaction and required finance result through China delivery.
  • Ensure business in compliance with internal and external rules and regulations

 About the Job:

The geographic scope of the role covers China.

  • Functional leadership over the delivery of operational excellence across the regions, ensuring that all countries have the appropriate operational capability and resource to support their country.
  • Work with the country SD leads to ensure effective implementation and operation of the global operating model
  •  Oversee China overall automotive delivery and services activities and benchmarks to ensure supporting operational delivery needs and work with relevant country operations manager to improve where under performance is identified
  • Ensure optimum automotive delivery performance and resource utilization across the territory, working with the other offices to improve utilisation as required.
  • Lead agreed changes or improvement plans for countries to facilitate improvement in end result.
  • Identify risks and issues preventing effective operational delivery.
  • Cascading Group Rules and ensuring processes meet applicable requirements of ISO/IEC 17021, ISO 19011, IATF rules and relevant sector based standards and rules.
  • Ensures the regulatory requirements are complied with by the local operations leads to their employees and sub-contractors.
  • Ensure effective and efficient execution of group global initiatives so that they are embedded into the local operation and relevant teams.
  •  Prepare and monitor operational KPI’s, benchmark results and prioritise improvement plans and support for those countries and sectors with the greatest need for improvement.
  • Transfer best practice and drive best practice with Driving Force within the region
  • Work with country operations to provide technical support for design recommendations and improvements for systems, workflow and IT tools and platforms (PG, SFDC, SCM etc) to drive simplicity, cost reduction, workflow and productivity improvements.
  • Identify the office and Schemes with limited regional capacity (i.e.: BCM, Cloud, ICT, Auto, Food etc.) and drive capacity building and qualification for new start up programs (Assessors & Tutors) to ensure BSI is first to market in China and effectively cross fertilizes and build capacity based on use of qualified resources through an effective regional buddy system.
  • Responsible for resource development including planning, recruitment, training and qualifying to set up and maintain strong assessor team.
  • Establish the required and appropriate assessor resource and qualification for implementing necessary assessment in each product with consulting with product managers as necessary.
  • Provide on-the-job training for assessor or trainee assessor.
  • Monitor and measure the performance of the related team members.
  • Ensure effective communication with team.
  • Support assessments scheduling to achieve regional delivery target (assessment, report review)
  • Guide the daily assessment work including overdue audit management, resource coordination, customer complaints etc.
  • Work closely with other functional departments, such as C&R, Sales and Marketing, etc.
  • Other responsibilities assigned by Service Delivery Director.

About You: 

  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • At least 5-year assessment industry working experience
  • Be familiar with accreditation rules and related government regulations
  • Experience in managing above 10+ team
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Good team player and able to provide guidance to the team 
  • Fluent English speaking and writing skill
  • Be willing to travel extensively

Good to have: 

  • Be familiar with PG and Ops Tools.
  • Be familiar with internal and external regulations and requirements of certification industry.
  • Hold P/T/S/C code for contract review, assessment, report review and other certification related activities.
