Job Description

Main Purposes Of the Job:

A key member of the AXA Distribution team in Asia, the role will be responsible for formulating and generating buy in to region-wide distribution technology blueprints and standards, across the Life and Non-Life Insurance entities, in support of AXA's distribution strategy in the region.

A key member of the AXA Distribution team in Asia, the role will be responsible for working closely with the countries in formulating and generating distribution technology blueprints and standards, across the Life and Non-Life Insurance entities, in support of AXA's distribution strategy in the region.

An experienced lead with strong domain expertise in the sales technology sector; the incumbent will work closely with the CIO's, CDO's and members of the AXA AMO management team, entities and vendors in order to define, recommend and support the implementation of distribution technology strategies in proprietary and non-proprietary channels

Job Role:
  • Strategy Direction - Work with the Asian Markets, Shared Services and entity leadership teams to formulate a Distribution Technology Blueprint taking into account AXA's IT standards, market practice, industry trends and regulatory environment.
  • Planning Direction - Iinitiate Distribution Technology Transformation Roadmaps (DTTR's) with respective entity teams to ensure that the regional strategic direction and timelines are built into local IT plans and that regional support and cross-entity opportunities are identified.
  • Distribution Technology Excellence- Build a regional distribution technology community & support best practice sharing across all entities; Leverage AXAs global expertise as well as third party vendors to accelerate the delivery of DTTR's driving convergence towards the Distribution Technology Blueprint
  • Domain Expertise - Bring a strong understanding of the distribution technology ecosystem covering all aspects of the business including customer segmentation, data analytics, needs analysis, sales journey, marketing, underwriting and customer on-boarding.
  • Commercial Orientation & Business Focus- Bring strong financial management skills including the ability to develop business plans and analyse profit drivers. High achievement orientation with an ability to manage distribution performance on all key Financial and Business Metrics.
  • Team Management - Building and leading a high caliber "Virtual" Distribution Technology Team. Mentor, Coach, and Empower the in country resources. Focus on upgrading talent, and talent development across all levels both within the local entities. Support and encourage a bias for action across all levels of the organization.
  • Digital Innovation: Ability to use "Digital" as a key differentiator for creating new business model, reducing costs, enhancing sales experience and driving distribution transformation. Facilitate disruptive thinking and testing of innovation across all facets of the distribution technology spectrum, working with both internal and external vendors.
Job Requirement:
  • Solid Experience: 10+ years of insurance experience with min. 8-10 years at a senior sales management level around Distribution,Technology and or training.
  • Strategic Distribution Technology Leader with a broad vision and ability to formulate, drive and execute region-wide distribution technology strategies, initiatives and standards, across the AMO Life & General Insurance business entities.
  • Domain expert with an in-depth experience in distribution technology. Strong track record of successfully scoping, developing & implementing technology within the area of distribution in Asia. Excellent understanding of the technology, distribution channels and market evolution. Well versed and can execute experience journeys in a DevOps model.
  • Experience in successfully driving technology transformation; proven team player with a track record of success in developing tools and processes that transform the distribution channel with skills also in implementing change programmes and stakeholder management.
  • Strong Influencing Skills - should be able to build credibility, partner with, and influence Entity CEOs/ CDOs and CIO's - to develop and support execution of the Distribution Technology Transformation Roadmap. Should be seen as a credible technology/distribution evangelist who can add value to the entities. This is a role without any direct authority, and therefore this attribute is extremely important
