Job Description

The Firm

A traditional English law firm with a stable and dynamic working environment and out-standing reputation in market is currently hiring an experienced and responsible talent to manage the all-rounded HR operational work.

The Opportunity

This is a very interesting, challenging and professional role within a prestigious international law firm. Reporting to the COO, you will be leading a small team of 2 to handle the all-rounded HR work of Hong Kong office. This will be a stable role with no unreasonable overtime work and business trips required.

The main responsibilities will include but not limit to:

  • Manage all levels of recruiting work including professional hiring, campus and supporting staff recruitment  
  • Act as a key contact for all partners and department heads and external recruitment services provider on hiring and HR polices matters
  • Work closely with the HR Officer to manage the CPD and CPE training logistics and ensure all CPD record aligning with the law society of Hong Kong’s requirements
  • Work closely with Admin and Business Development team to organize the law fair in Hong Kong
  • Review all C&B policies and conduct some market research of staff benefits for local staff
  • Arrange and deliver training on career progression and soft skills coaching for internal staff if necessary
  • Supervise / Lead the junior assistant to handle all HR paper work and visa application with the immigration department, ensure all personnel record are accurate in system
  • In-charge of the staff appraisal and yearly salary review 
  • Support the COO to work on some HR projects such as HRIS system upgrade and internship program etc.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate should have the following requirements:

  • Degree holder preferably in HR Management or Business Management discipline  with at least 5-8 years working experience in all-rounded HR support functions and law firm / legal exposure will be a must
  • Close to native level English and business level Chinese will be required given candidate will be closely working with expat Partners, London and PRC offices
  • Good understanding of Hong Kong Labor Ordinance and the standard / regulations of the Law Society of Hong Kong will be essential
  • Excellent presentation, management and organization skills will be required
  • Welcome both experienced managerial graded candidates or senior officer / advisory level candidates who would like to step up to become a Manager
