Job Description

Role Summary

Reporting to the Head of HR, APAC, the HR Manager, APAC, will support the HR team on the execution of transactional core HR processes, and support the implementation of both regional and local initiatives, and Group HR programs.

The role will strongly support the implementation of HR policies and procedures in APAC, driving people engagement and culture, support payroll and operations for Hong Kong through active business partnering and meeting the business and people needs.

There will be a close working relationship with other APAC markets’ HR Business Partners on key talent and employee initiatives that support the Talent agenda and business strategy.

Key Accountabilities

HR Operations (50%)

  • Monitor time keeping records and follow up with managers to ensure all employee time is entered and approved accurately.
  • Support the Heads of Reward, APAC to drive continuous improvement in Reward.

Business Partnering (30%)

  •  Develop strong working relationships with supported business units.
  • Support all aspects of employee life cycle, including performance management, employee development and engagement, change management, and employee relations. 

Regional Projects (20%)

  •  Research and make recommendation on best practices in HR analytics and provide data support for key HR projects.
  • Support Head of HR APAC on various ad-hoc HR initiatives, including but not limited to Employee engagement survey, Culture programs, Campus talk, etc.

  Qualifications and requirements

  • A Degree holder in HR, Psychology, or Business or related discipline. 
  • Minimum 8 years of all-round HR experience in a MNC with in a similar capacity
  • Competent with Labour laws across different countries, payroll rules and government processes relating to HR.
  • Independent and confident working with management and regional/global teams, excellent in stakeholder management.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, Chinese, any other Asian language would be a plus.
  • Ability to speak Mandarin is essential, and demonstrated experience in working with Greater China clients
