The newly created HR Manager role is a team leading position responsible for the HR operations in HK and Taiwan. The role will partner closely with the Operations Director in Hong Kong for recruitment and talent management, and report to corporate HR function in the US for global projects and systems roll out.
Our client is a US multinational organisation with strong presence around the globe and aggressive expansion plans in Asia. An opportunity now exists for a passionate, driven and reliable HR Manager to lead their team of 3 in the Hong Kong office.
Reporting to the US, you will be responsible for managing and developing the HR function in Hong Kong and Taiwan. A key focus of the role will be to manage the day to day HR operations , as well as to assist and develop others through sound HR advice and support. Working with a committed team, you will manage the full spectrum of HR including talent acquisition, retention and development, performance management, compensation & benefits, employee relations and system upgrades. The role will work closely with the Operations Director as a business partner to drive brand awareness, training on ethics & compliance as well as expanding their recruitment channels. In addition, you will work closely with the headquarters on global projects such as benefits alignment, system upgrade, data privacy, compliance audit and market survey. This is an all round HR leadership position and would be suitable for talents who are passionate in driving global projects and regional initatives.
The successful applicant will have solid HR generalist experience within a multinational organisation , preferably with an understanding or experience in a matrix environment. You will be comfortable working in a challenging environment where you will be required to lead and manage a range of strategic projects whilst maintaining a practical and hands-on approach. Creative and resourceful, your ability to build credible relationships across the business will be fundamental to your success This is a genuine opportunity for a talented HR practitioner to make their mark. Fluency in English and Cantonese is essential. Candidates with experience hiring technical positions across all levels will be highly sought after.
