Job Description

The Department

The Human Resources Department leads people strategies and in collaboration with business divisions to drive a performance-driven culture to achieve sustainable business growth. The HR Department aims to ensure a fit between employees and the overall strategic direction of the Club. 

The job holder reports to EM, Human Resources (Transformation Communications) and assists to the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives, to engaging employees with diversified backgrounds and culture, conducive to collaborative and positive work culture in the Club. 

The Job 
You will :

  • Drive design and implementation of Employee Engagement survey, working closely with vendor to provide direction and manage project deliverables.  Analyse results with recommendations to further enhance employee engagement;
  • Develop and implement staff engagement programmes to boost staff morale and commitment as well as to enhance a positive working environment;
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders and people from multiple divisions to organize and coordinate corporate events from managing logistics to designing format, creating event videos and planning different contingent scenarios;
  • Prepare project plan with clear communication and ensure timelines are met with post event analysis, looking for continuous improvement ideas to improve event success and effectiveness
  • Prepare and control staff events budget and expenditures, and ensuring cost effectiveness in each event. This includes ensuring that the Club’s procurement guidelines are followed in acquiring suppliers with the highest quality work and value for money.
About You
You should have:
  • A university degree in commerce and business discipline;
  • At least 8 years solid experience with a focus on staff engagement, employee relations and internal communication;
  • Good capability to work with diverse stakeholders in a diverse working culture with cross-functional teams, from senior management to junior staff;
  • Good business acumen, exceptional interpersonal and communications skills as well as keenness to take on new challenges and responsibilities;
  • Sound knowledge and interest in social and political issues will be an advantage
  • Fluency both in written and spoken English and Cantonese. Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred.
  • Event planning skills, self-driven with innovative ideas to drive event effectiveness; project management skills driving timelines with attention to details; and Vendor management skills
