Job Summary

As an Innovation Ecosystems Lead, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the Group-wide innovation initiatives and activities to enable and accelerate innovation as well as broaden our ecosystem and partnerships across the Group and other business units.

Responsibilities

  • Support to build a strategic ecosystem of external innovation partners (i.e., universities, start-ups, fintech/insurtech and other innovation companies, etc.) across the region
  • Plan and support internal and external events such as hackathons, summits and tech-related conferences to promote the organization’s branding and our culture of innovation in tech community and our ecosystem
  • Identify potential external partners, explore and understand the value they could bring to the company
  • Liaise and align with stakeholders from business units or potential external partners to identify the objective and desired outcome of a planned event
  • Coordinate POC initiatives post hackathons or innovation challenges with external partners and business units to bring innovative ideas to life
  • Assist in creating and implementing an innovation framework and practices to grow and sustain the ecosystem and partnerships
  • Build relationships and confidence within the BUs on our capabilities where we, along with innovation partners, can generate new business ideas and deliver tangible value
  • Conduct market landscape and innovation research for latest trends and potential external partners, prepare presentations and facilitate business decisions
  • Help promote innovation culture as a state of mind within Group and other business units

Requirements

  • You are a self-starter, with the ability to ideate, plan, and execute innovation related initiatives to support our ecosystem and partnerships
  • You are an innovation advocate and can promote a culture of innovation and influence mindset and behaviors, including those of senior leaders
  • You are passionate about innovation and change and are excited to promote and embed them across the organization
  • You have a good sense or awareness of innovation and new technologies
  • You are intellectually curious and love learning new skills and capabilities
  • You have a solid knowledge in agile ways of working, change management and project management methodologies and best practices
  • You have proven experience in planning and supporting hackathons or innovation challenges with internal colleagues across business units as well as external partners
  • You have a good understanding of customer journeys and design thinking and its importance to innovation success
  • You are proactive, adaptive and detail-oriented where you can work in an ever-changing innovation space
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, design, psychology, business administration or similar field
  • Insurance or financial services industry experience ideal but not a must
